Dynamite showcases the potential hazards in their preview of Disney's Darkwing Duck #1.

Dynamite Entertainment ventures into thrilling territory this week with the debut of its new Disney Comics series, Darkwing Duck, and you can view the official preview of the first issue below…

He is the menace that flaps in the night! The bird that criminals dread the most! A legend in his own time (and his own imagination)! He is… Darkwing Duck!

But what events led this avian hero to build such a formidable reputation? What insights did he gain during his early days of battling crime and defeating adversaries? His devoted fans (or, at the very least, his adopted daughter, Gosalyn) are eager to find out — and DW is more than willing to share the entire (possibly embellished) saga in this unauthorized (and somewhat disorganized) autobiography!

Acclaimed writer Daniel Kibblesmith (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Loki, Black Panther vs. Deadpool) and the dynamic art duo of Ted Brandt & Ro Stein (The Mighty Captain Marvel, Tales of the Titans: Beast Boy) return to the skyline of St. Canard with a fresh series that explores (and likely reinterprets) Darkwing Duck’s early years — featuring a debut cover by artist Tad Stones, the creator of the original Darkwing Duck animated series, alongside instantly recognizable artwork from Brandt & Stein, Mark Bagley, Nicoletta Baldari, and Ciro Cangialosi!

Darkwing Duck #1 will be available for purchase on March 5th, at the price of $4.99.
