Arian Moayed and Alex Karpovsky are set to take part in season 2 of Nobody Wants This.

Following the recent casting of Leighton Meester and Miles Fowler in the popular Netflix romcom series Nobody Wants This, Deadline reports that Arian Moayed (Succession) and Alex Karpovsky (Girls) will also be joining the cast for its second season.

Nobody Wants This centers on the characters Joanne and Noah, portrayed by Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, who embark on an unexpected romance despite having contrasting views on life, religion, and families that attempt to separate them.

Moayed will take on the role of Dr. Andy, “a charming and highly esteemed (at least in his own opinion) psychotherapist who could be the ideal match for Joanne’s sister Morgan.”

Karpovsky will portray Big Noah, a work rival to Noah who is characterized as “an excessively confident rabbi” at their temple.

The series debuted on Netflix last September and was swiftly renewed due to its success with both critics and audiences. Adam Brody received the Critics Choice Award for Best Actor in a comedy series for his role as Noah.

Nobody Wants This was created by Erin Foster, who was also the showrunner for the inaugural season but will step back for the second season while continuing as an executive producer. Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan will take on the showrunner duties for the upcoming season, with both serving as executive producers as well.

The storyline unfolds as an agnostic podcast host and an unconventional rabbi on the rebound meet at a party. After leaving together, the unlikely couple, Joanne (Kristen Bell) and Noah (Adam Brody), sense a connection. However, their differing life perspectives pose potential obstacles, alongside modern challenges to love and their sometimes well-intentioned but often obstructive families—including her sister Morgan (Justine Lupe) and his brother Sasha (Timothy Simons).

Nobody Wants This stars Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, and Timothy Simons, with Jackie Tohn promoted to a series regular role for the second season, alongside the new cast members Leighton Meester, Miles Fowler, Arian Moayed, and Alex Karpovsky.
