GKids has unveiled a trailer for its theatrical event Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye, which features last season’s finale that initiated the chilling 'Evil Eye' story arc, along with the first three episodes of season 2 of the anime series; you can watch it below.
DAN DA DAN centers on Momo, a high school girl from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, who is fascinated by the occult. In this new arc, Momo and Okarun embark on a fresh adventure, visiting a hot springs town where Momo's childhood friend and former crush, Jiji, has rented a house, aiming to uncover the mysteries surrounding his family. Upon their arrival, quirky locals disrupt their investigation before it can truly kick off, and the group soon discovers that the town holds more secrets than they ever anticipated.
Inspired by the well-known manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, DAN DA DAN serves as a thrilling, action-filled homage to sci-fi and horror, infused with the essence of a hilariously dark teen romantic comedy. In DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE, co-directors Fuga Yamashiro and Abel Gongora present viewers with a new narrative in the latest series from the innovative animation studio Science SARU (The Colors Within, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off), featuring electrifying original music by kensuke ushio (Chainsaw Man).
Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye is set to hit theaters on June 6th.
