Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening releases a new gameplay trailer.

      Microids has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening (see below), their video game adaptation of the renowned 1982 anime and manga by Buichi Terasawa. Alongside the trailer, playable demos are now available on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch, allowing players to step into Cobra's world before the game launches on August 26th.

      In Space Adventure Cobra – The Awakening, players assume the role of Cobra, a courageous adventurer equipped with a cybernetic left arm that holds the legendary Psychogun. Players will experience the initial 12 episodes of the iconic anime and encounter vibrant characters, like the Royal Sisters and the fearsome Crystal Bowie.

      There are numerous exotic planets to explore, each filled with traps and enemy forces that will have Cobra running, jumping, and climbing through the levels. Players can utilize Cobra’s superhuman abilities, along with the impressive Psychogun and Colt Python 77, to defeat foes, as well as deploy well-known gadgets like the cigar and the grappling hook.

      The game features a story mode with three difficulty settings, enabling players to challenge their skills or embark on a more relaxed adventure. Additionally, a two-player co-op mode is available for those who wish to share the experience with friends.

      Fans can purchase a limited physical edition that includes the full game, an artbook, the bonus mission "The Roulette of Death," and the exclusive "Smoking Skin." A digital Gold Edition for consoles will also be available, which consists of the full game, the bonus mission, and the "Smoking Skin." A Deluxe Edition will be offered on Steam, comprising the Gold Edition contents along with a digital artbook and the original soundtrack.
