Creepshow transforms into a superhero theme for its new special this October.
Skybound and Image Comics have revealed that Creepshow will make its return this October with Super Creepshow Special #1, a brand-new one-shot that invites fans to join the Creep for “a horrifying celebration of superheroes—both new and old, as well as those who are very, very disturbed—in what is undoubtedly the most significant comic book of the year.”
“Fusing horror with superpowers is an absolute dream come true,” shares Executive Editor Ben Abernathy. “This all-star lineup of creators brought their exceptional talent to deliver stories that only Creepshow can offer, and I believe fans will really enjoy it!”
Super Creepshow Special #1 will showcase stories from talented writers in superhero comics, including Dan Watters (Batman: Dark Patterns) and Carmine Di Giandomenico (Absolute Superman), Ryan Stegman (X-Men) and Riley Rossmo (Harley Quinn), along with Ed Brisson (Wolverine: Old Man Logan) and Andrei Bressan (The Uncanny X-Men).
First up, Dan Watters and Carmine Di Giandomenico orchestrate a funeral for the world’s greatest superhero, but his return may spell disaster! Next, Ryan Stegman and Riley Rossmo introduce readers to the Grave Ghost, a superhero tasked with solving the mystery of…his own demise! Lastly, Ed Brisson and Andrei Bressan reveal the creepy story of what transpires when a super serum is injected into someone who might be more super VILLAIN than hero.
