Waltzing with Brando recounts the experiences of Marlon Brando and architect Bernard Judge as they lived and worked together on a deserted island near Tahiti between 1970 and 1974. It chronicles their four-year journey of planning and eventually building a small hotel on the Polynesian atoll of Tetiaroa. The film presents an engaging tale of a young architect who unexpectedly finds himself residing with Brando on a tiny landmass surrounded by a turbulent coral reef.
