The last season of Outlander, which spans past, present, and future, is set to start in March.

The eagerly awaited eighth and final season of Starz's Outlander has set its premiere date for March 6th, 2026, marking the start of the series' conclusion for the historical romance fantasy.

Outlander is adapted from the novels by Diana Gabaldon and brought to life for Starz by Ronald D. Moore. The storyline has followed the romance between Claire and Jamie Fraser, beginning with their encounter in 1743 Scotland during the Jacobite Rebellion and extending through the American Revolution as Claire and their family navigate between the past and the present.

In the upcoming eighth season, the Fraser family will continue to be embroiled in the Revolution as they strive to avoid becoming part of history, even as family secrets and the ongoing war threaten to drive them apart.

While Outlander will conclude next year, a spin-off prequel titled Outlander: Blood of My Blood premiered on Starz this summer. This prequel explores the stories of Claire and Jamie’s parents and their individual love stories, with a second season already confirmed.

Jamie and Claire soon discover that the war has followed them back to Fraser's Ridge, now a vibrant settlement that has developed in their absence. With new arrivals and alterations occurring during their time away, the Frasers face the dilemma of what they are prepared to sacrifice for their home, and more crucially, what they would give up to remain together. As they present a united front against external threats, emerging family secrets begin to risk their internal cohesion. Though they have left behind the fight for America’s independence, their battle for Fraser's Ridge is just beginning.

Outlander features Catríona Balfe as Claire Fraser, Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser, Sophie Skelton as Brianna MacKenzie, Richard Rankin as Roger MacKenzie, John Bell as Young Ian, David Berry as Lord John Grey, Charles Vandervaart as William Ransom, Izzy Meikle-Small as Rachel Hunter, and Joey Phillips as Denzell Hunter.

Outlander Season 8 is set to premiere on March 6th, 2026.
