First Teaser for Takashi Miike's Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo Delves into a Realm of Corruption
The incredibly prolific Takashi Miike, who released Blazing Fists and Sham last year, returns this fall with a fresh interpretation of Bad Lieutenant, following the impactful films by Abel Ferrara and Werner Herzog. Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo, featuring Shun Oguri, Lily James, and Liv Morgan, is set to premiere at TIFF next month, and NEON has just unveiled the first teaser.
Here’s the synopsis: “A disgraced detective in Tokyo descends into a realm of corruption, addiction, and violence as he becomes embroiled in a complex investigation involving a vengeful former Yakuza, a mysterious FBI agent, and the missing daughter of a powerful American family.”
