Stephen Graham makes a striking entrance in the trailer for season 2 of A Thousand Blows.
Disney+ and Hulu have released the trailer for the second season of "A Thousand Blows," a boxing drama created by Steven Knight of "Peaky Blinders" fame, featuring Stephen Graham in a historical narrative about illegal bare-knuckle boxing set in the back streets of Victorian London’s East End.
Returning to the cast are Malachi Kirby and Erin Doherty, joined by James Nelson-Joyce, Darci Shaw, Hannah Walters, Nadia Albina, Morgan Hilaire, Jemma Carlton, Caoilfhionn Dunne, Jason Tobin, Susan Lynch, Daniel Mays, Gary Lewis, Aliyah Odoffin, and Robert Glenister. Season 2 will also see the addition of newcomers Ned Dennehy and Catherine McCormack. You can watch the trailer below…
"This season is inspired by true stories of individuals fighting for survival in the harsh East End of London during the 1880s. A year later, Hezekiah's Moscow (Kirby) is no longer the man he used to be, while Sugar Goodson (Graham) is distanced from his family and drinking heavily.
Just when Wapping is on the verge of losing hope, Mary Carr (Doherty) returns with her devoted second-in-command, Alice Diamond (Darci Shaw). During Mary’s absence, Eliza Moody (Hannah Walters) could not maintain her reign as Queen due to her exile, and Indigo Jeremy (Robert Glenister) has regained control of the Elephants. Mary aims to reunite the Forty Elephants and reclaim her title. She helps Sugar regain sobriety as she still needs him, and forms a hesitant alliance with Hezekiah to finally defeat Indigo Jeremy. As always, Mary has a plan. This time, however, it’s more dangerous than ever."
Season 2 of "A Thousand Blows" will be available for streaming starting January 9, exclusively on Hulu and Disney+.
